Why Diwali is celebrated????
There are a lot of reasons for Diwali Celebration. I am going to discuss few of them:-
First reason is Ram ji Returned from their Vanvaas of long fourteen years. Vanvaas is given to Ram only because of Kaikayi as she demanded this from Raja Dashrath as a wish just because of jealousy from selecting the Ram as the new Raja(King) of Ayodhya instead of her Son Bharat. Diwali is celebrated as their Welcome Back in Ayodhya.
Another reason is Victory over Dashanan Raavan. Raavan kidnapped Ram's wife Seeta just because of insult of his Sister Surapnakha by Ram's brother Luxman. After that Ram fights with Raavan to get Seeta back. This fight was won with the help of Vanar(Monkeys) Sena. So after winning this fight, Diwali is Celebrated.
